Pharmacy Residency Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) – Lee Memorial Hospital - HealthPark Medical Center
Two hospitals. One shared purpose. A residency built around your growth.
At Lee Memorial Hospital and HealthPark Medical Center, we believe residency is more than a year of clinical training, it is an opportunity to help shape the pharmacist you are becoming. You will join a team that values who you are, recognizes your potential, and is genuinely invested in your growth.
We consider it a privilege to teach residents not only how to practice pharmacy, but how to care for people. Through close mentorship, meaningful interdisciplinary practice, and progressively greater responsibility, we will challenge you, support you, and help you develop the confidence to become an exceptional clinician, colleague, teacher, and leader.
Our shared purpose is to optimize patient outcomes through interdisciplinary medication management while never losing sight of the person at the center of that care. We want you to leave this program prepared to practice at a high level and knowing that your ideas, your development, and your contribution mattered here.

ASHP ACCREDITATION STATUS: The PYG1 Pharmacy Residency conducted by Lee Health – Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Florida has an accreditation pre-candidate status with ASHP.
We believe exceptional residency training begins with seeing each resident as an individual. Residents enter our program with different strengths, experiences, interests, and goals, and we believe those differences should help shape their development.
Our role is to create an environment where residents feel valued enough to contribute, supported enough to take risks and ask questions, and challenged enough to grow. We provide high expectations, meaningful responsibility, thoughtful feedback, and mentorship with the goal of developing pharmacists who are clinically excellent, compassionate, curious, collaborative, and prepared to lead.
Most importantly, we recognize the privilege of preparing pharmacists who will care for patients long after their residency year with us has ended.
