How Do I Apply?

Apply online any time using our Job Search page. Candidates needing assistance or computer access may also apply at our Employment Center:

Hours: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Application kiosks are also available for candidates to apply online at our hospital locations:

How long is the Lee Health application process? How many steps does it take while applying online?

Our online application & pre-screening process includes the following steps:

Step 1: Search for a job and review job description (five to 10 minutes)

Step 2: Complete online application (10 to 15 minutes)

Step 3: Respond to online pre-screening questions (up to five minutes)

What happens to my application once I apply?

Once you complete our online application process, your application and/or resume will be entered immediately into our applicant database. All applications will be pre-screened based on minimum qualifications and experience. Preference may be given to individuals who exceed the minimum job requirements.

The best-qualified candidates are selected for an interview based upon stated qualifications, experience, and background. If selected for an interview, you will be contacted by a member of our recruiting staff.

How can I get technical support after hours?

If you have difficulty filling out the online application after normal business hours (i.e., in the evenings, during holidays, or on weekends), call our help desk at 239-343-7900. You can also send an email to hr@leehealth.org (link opens in a new window) to request help. Please provide your phone number and email address when you can or email, so we can easily contact you the next business day.

How can I get technical support during normal business hours?

Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you require technical support while filling out your application during business hours, contact our Call Center at 239-343-1555. You may also visit our Employment Center or one of our online application kiosks for personal assistance.

Are there technical requirements to apply?

How big are your hospitals?

Lee Health consists of four acute care hospitals: Lee Memorial Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center, Gulf Coast Medical Center, and Cape Coral Hospital, and two speciality hospitals: Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida and The Rehabilitation Hospital. At Lee Health, we see over 1 million patient contacts each year, making us the largest public health system in Florida.

Our staff includes more than 13,000 dedicated employees and 4,500 volunteers.

What is your nursing philosophy?

At Lee Health, we believe that providing highly skilled, competent, and compassionate nursing care is essential to fulfilling our commitment to excellence in clinical practice, theory, research, and community outreach.

Do you hire new graduate nurses?

Yes! We believe nursing professionalism includes mentoring the next generation. That's why we not only offer a variety of formal internship programs after graduation, but we also partner with local schools by providing experienced nurses as instructors for students during their nursing courses.

What is your nursing education department like?

Lee Health has developed an efficient yet comprehensive approach to meeting the educational needs of our nurses. We have unit-based Clinical Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Specialists. We partner with other departments to offer contact hour programs, American Heart Association certification, and nursing specialty certification reviews. We often present at national conferences, and it's always free for our employees to attend these programs.

We also provide the crucial first step in the education journey here at Lee Health with the hospital nursing orientation program that every new nurse attends. During this first step, an assessment is used to develop an individual orientation program.

Do you have internship programs?
