Lee Health is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Lead Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist to support the credentialing and enrollment needs of Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals. This role plays a critical part in ensuring practitioners are appropriately credentialed, privileged, and maintained in compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the credentialing, privileging, re-credentialing, and enrollment processes for Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals.
• Process initial and reappointment applications accurately and within established regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Perform primary-source and credentialing verifications and ensure practitioner files are complete and current.
• Monitor practitioner expirables, including licenses, DEA registrations, insurance, certifications, and other required credentials.
• Coordinate new practitioner orientation and support timely onboarding activities.
• Maintain accurate practitioner information within medical staff credentialing software and EPIC.
• Serve as a resource and point-of-support for credentialing and enrollment processes, helping ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely completion of assigned work.
• Collaborate with Medical Staff Services leadership, practitioners, and internal departments to resolve credentialing and enrollment issues.
• Support additional Medical Staff Services responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Education:High school or equivalent required.

Experience:At least one year experience in credentialing.

License: N/A

Other:CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) certification required within two years of eligibility.
