Uses computer-aided dispatch system (EPIC) to manage the logistics and complexity of assigning staff and volunteers in the transportation of patients based on urgency and scheduling for procedures to maximize the utilization of transporters in an effective and efficient manner. Assists in safely transporting patients or items to and from the hospital departments and moving patients to and from stretcher and/or wheelchair to bed, etc. as needed. Interacts with customers in a manner which supports and/or improves department operations. Transport Dispatcher routinely performs all of the essential job functions of a transporter during operational needs.
Education:High School Diploma required.
Experience:No experience required.
Certification:BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required from the American Heart Association within the first 90 days of hire.
