As a Certified Instrument Technician II, you'll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team committed to delivering safe, high-quality instrumentation that supports exceptional patient outcomes.

What You'll Do:

Under the direction of the Sterile Processing leadership team, you will:

  • Maintain competency across all core Sterile Processing functions:
    • Decontamination
    • Instrument Assembly
    • Sterilization
    • Case Pick
  • Ensure instrumentation is processed accurately, safely, and on time to support surgical services
  • Follow all Lee Health policies, system protocols, and industry standards including AAMI, APIC, and AORN
  • Participate in team huddles and contribute ideas that support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Support training and precepting of team members as needed
  • Help maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork within the department

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum 6 months' Sterile Processing experience required.

Licensure: none

Certifications: Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Certification

Other: Read, write, and speak English for work related communication
