As a Laboratory Assistant II, youll play an important role in supporting accurate, timely patient care. This diverse position combines clinical, clerical, and financial responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to build your skills while contributing to the smooth operation of the laboratory.
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:30 AM4:00 PM, with a requirement to work every 3rd Saturday from 8:00 AM12:00 PM.Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule while making a difference in patient care, with only one Saturday commitment every three weeks.
Youll be involved in hands-on clinical work such as specimen verification and processing, phlebotomy, sample tracking, and send-out testing, while also helping ensure laboratory services are accurately documented and processed.
Beyond the clinical side, youll interact with patients and team members, answer phones, distribute reports, operate office equipment, and use laboratory and hospital information systems. Youll also support the financial side of laboratory services through insurance verification, reviewing accounts for appropriate diagnosis coding, and ensuring required forms and documentation are completed.
