PRN Student Nurse Apprentice- Team members in thisStudent Nurse jobare responsible for providing patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Additional responsibilities include: implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs, comfort, safety, and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition, fluid, and elimination needs.
Qualifications for this position: Must have completed the foundations/fundamentals semester of an accredited nursing program. If selected for an interview the student will provide an official transcript from your school, a current Basic Life Support Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a self assessment provided by Human Resources.
Summary
Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. Enrolled as a Nursing Student in an accredited Registered Nurse program or approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.
The student must have completed the foundations or fundamentals semester of their nursing program. Student will provide an official transcript to Recruitment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
A competency skills checklist appropriate to the job description will be given to the applicant by Human Resources Recruitment. Applicant should complete this form and bring to manager interview, in order that manager can discuss future orientation needs.
Communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills are required. Demonstrates a working knowledge of medical terminology.
