Join a team where your attention to detail directly impacts patient safety and outcomes. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in preparing IV medications, ensuring every compounded medication is mixed with the highest level of accuracy and care.
Beyond medication preparation, you'll build meaningful connections with patients by coordinating prescription refills, answering questions, and helping ensure they receive their medications without interruption. You'll also collaborate closely with pharmacists and delivery teams to coordinate medication distribution, manage refill reports, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
In this role, you'll assist pharmacists with the preparation, dispensing, distribution, and control of medications while adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations, professional practice standards, and Lee Health policies. RequirementsEducation: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. One year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
Certification: CPht (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification with the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) required (must be obtained within first 180 days of hire). ExCPT certification may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
License: Registered Pharmacy Technician with Florida Department of Health required.
Other: Data entry and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology. Ability to cope with confrontation.
