Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$29.75 - $29.75 / hour
Represents the Pharmacy Department in a consultative and active role as the clinically oriented Pharmacist responsible for rational medication therapy. The pharmacy resident is expected to assist (when necessary) in the preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medications used throughout the facility. The pharmacy resident is expected to sustain an environment for the safe, rational, effective, and efficient use of medications prescribed to patients of all age groups. All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, applicable regulatory agency standards, professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the health system/pharmacy department.
Education:Pharm.D. from a College of Pharmacy Accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
Experience:Completion of ASHP Accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency.
Certification:BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required (must be obtained within first 90 days of hire).
License:State of Florida Department of Professional Regulation - Registered Pharmacist License eligible upon hire but must be licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Florida by the 120th day of the residency.
Other:Strong communication and interpersonal skills, data entry skills, analytical and advanced math skills required.
