PRN Pay Rate:$20.00 per hour
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, maintains a safe environment for patients needing mental health intervention per Lee Health policies and procedures. Communicates effectively with all patient caregivers to ensure patient receives safe and quality care. Reports changes in patient condition or behavior to appropriate caregiver. Provides companionship to patients that require continuous observation and intervenes appropriately when necessary. Provide supportive and basic care as directed by nursing staff.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: At least one year of experience in health/human service required.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must be obtained within 30 days after hire date.
License: N/A
Other: Basic Computer skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills required. Knowledge and skills in English language.
Completion of De-escalation training, Mental Health education and Mobility training within 90 days after hire date.
