The Lead Lab Assistant for Histology provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the histology and pathology laboratory. This role ensures accurate handling of laboratory materials, timely processing of reports and consultations, effective communication with internal staff and external facilities, and compliance with quality control and regulatory requirements. The assistant supports pathologists, histotechnologists, and laboratory leadership by maintaining organized workflows, managing documentation, and assisting with laboratory logistics.
The Lead Lab Assistant for Histology also provides guidance and training to other clerical laboratory assistants and coordinates workflow to support Histology Leadership, Pathologists, and Histology Technologists.
RequirementsGood communication and interpersonal skills required. Excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task, problem- solve, and work independently in addition to a team setting. Basic knowledge of computer data entry and retrieval.
