👁 What Youll Do:
🔹 Create a welcoming, safe, and supportive experience for pediatric patients and families
🔹 Assist providers with minor procedures and clinical care
🔹 Room patients and ensure accurate intake, documentation, and medical records
🔹 Safely operate ophthalmic equipment and administer ophthalmic solutions per guidelines
🔹 Support patient safety and uphold regulatory standards at all times
🔹 Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams
🔹 Coordinate prescriptions, medications, and information requests
🔹 Address patient questions with care and professionalism
🔹 Assist with scheduling, authorizations, and general office support

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of Ophthalmology Assistant or Medical Assistant accredited training program preferred. 1 year experience in a physiciansoffice or hospital outpatient department may be accepted in lieu of degree/diploma fromaccredited ophthalmology or medical assistant program.
Experience:
Ophthalmology Assistant experience preferred but not required.
Licensure:
N/A
Certification:
Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification preferred.American Heart Association / Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Other:
Medical terminology, basic knowledge of ocular disease, communication skills and proficiency with electronic health record required.
