Enter and import physician orders into Epic Cadence
Review 500+ orders daily for accuracy and completeness
Manage and coordinate 1,500+ outpatient procedures
Distribute orders to appropriate departments
Communicate with offices and providers regarding referrals
Support schedulers with accurate documentation
Maintain high performance and quality standards
Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Cross-train across multiple service lines
Education
High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience

We are looking for an organized, dependable, practical, and driven Outpatient Scheduling Facilitator to join our team. This role facilitates the scheduling process by entering non-epic physician orders into our Epic Cadence system and importing the order, so that it is accessible by ancillary team members. One must be able to coordinate greater than 1500 procedures with the correct order. In addition, this role requires you have a working knowledge of referrals, so that you can communicate to the offices and physicians about the orders. Reviewing greater than 500 orders per day for completeness, and disseminating the order appropriately to over seven work queues is the start of the scheduling process. You must possess extensive knowledge of the Cadence scheduling software to maneuver efficiently and document in the order, which assists the scheduler in providing quick and accurate service for our patients. Multi-tasking is key, and requires one to be flexible, as the job duties change quickly. The duties of the facilitator are intermingled with the Outpatient Scheduling Specialist, communication and fostering a team environment is an essential component of this role. Located in a small office and working in cubicles, one must feel comfortable working in a confined space. One must maintain all of those proficiencies, and will continue to achieve exceptional quality scores/error rate. In addition, this person must be crossed-trained in all service lines of the department.
Medical terminology knowledge desired. Knowledge and understanding of telephone etiquette including strong listening skills are essential. Excellent customer service, including verbal and written communication skills are required. Data entry skills and good computer skills are required including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Bilingual is preferred.
