Summary

The Supply Chain Contract Specialist position is an integral part of Supply Chain Managements contracting by providing research and support for Lee Healths supply chain contracting process. The functions of the Contract Specialist include administrative and organizational support for all supply chain contracting activities. Key responsibilities include sourcing and coordinating the contract with suppliers and legal services and coordinating legal documents from the drafting stage to final execution. Additionally, this position acts as the liaison with the supplier community and Lee Health legal. This position reports to the System Director of Supply Chain.

Requirements

Education: Associate degree required OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2+ years, in healthcare and/or contracting role can be substituted.

    General understanding of the general types of contracts.

    General understanding of the contracting process.

    General understanding of the contracting lifecycle stages (draft to execution to management).

    Excellent problem-solving skills.

    General understanding of product categories and product category management.

    Moderate knowledge of vendors and business divisions.

    Moderate knowledge and understanding of procurement activities.

    Understanding of product utilization in a variety of clinical settings.

    Proficiency in EXCEL and other Microsoft Office Products.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong knowledge and ability to leverage current and future technology.

    Ability to successfully operate in a multi-task environment.

    Great organizational skills.

    Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and/or deadlines.
