Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$22.73 - $28.41 / hour

Summary

This position is responsible for the daily operations and AR Management of the Central Business Office, Denial Management Team. Must be highly motivated to promoting and reaching department goals by team building and developing staff, along with continuous monitoring of work to maximize productivity for both in-house and telecommuting staff. Candidate must have outstanding communication skills, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with effective results. Goal setting is an important function in this role and the ability to develop, analyze data and prepare reports for trending is required. Knowledge of hospital billing and commercial managed care regulations and guidelines are essential. Assists in the daily operations of the Denial Management team to ensure that timely, effective, and accurate appeals and follow-up occur. Working with the outside departments for Authorization Denial trending to assist the department in reducing their authorization denials while providing service excellence is critical.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to timekeeping, staff meetings, interviewing, hiring, developing performance, conducting performance reviews, participating in department and system wide committees, task forces and/or activities as required to enhance the revenue cycle. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Work closely with team members and other Lee Health departments to address challenges, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Ability to appropriately manage stress and complexity of the position regarding the changing needs of the department as well as the health system.

Requirements

Education:High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.

Experience:Minimum of 3 years experience in Medical/Financial Healthcare or Business Office required.

Certification:Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS-I) preferred.
