Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$91.67 - $123.76 / hour
Experienced, high-level attorney with primary responsibility to provide strategic legal counsel, subject matter expertise, and thought partnership in regulatory compliance matters, corporate governance, business transactions, health facility operations, new initiatives and services, and complex litigation. The Senior Managing Attorney will partner closely with senior leadership to identify issues of the highest risk facing the organization and propose and drive solutions to address them.
The position is responsible for managing and developing high-performing attorneys and/or legal operations professionals and driving processes to increase efficiency. The Senior Managing Attorney performs highly specialized substantive legal work and reports to the Chief Legal Officer or Vice President, Senior Deputy General Counsel.
Education: Juris Doctorate degree or 7 or more years of formal education required.
Experience: Minimum of 12 years as an attorney practicing in-house with a health system or equivalent. 6 or more years of people management experience.
Certification: N/A
License: Admission as a member in good standing of the Florida bar or designated as Authorized House Counsel by the Florida bar within one (1) year of hire.
Other: Ability to effectively manage attorneys and support staff. Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Strong skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Ability to oversee and conduct complex legal research and provide legal guidance and recommendations regarding complex issues. Strong interpersonal skills.
