The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the safe delivery and documentation of patient care using the nursing process:assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN performs in multiple roles clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional developer utilizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
This role directs and coordinates nursing care according toAmerican Nurses Association standards, theFlorida Nurse Practice Act, and other regulatory requirements. The RN collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care, optimal outcomes, and adherence to the organizations vision and mission. Patient care incorporates consideration of age, cultural diversity, and individual needs. The RN contributes toquality improvement initiativesand demonstrates excellence in customer service. Practice is guided by theCode of Ethics for Nurses.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience:
Clinical experience required.
Must successfully complete department-specific competency assessment.
Experience requirements may vary by department (see Nursing Addendums).
Licensure:
Current and activeRegistered Nurse (RN) licensein the State of Florida.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association, valid at least 90 days after hire.
Additional certifications may be required per department (see Nursing Addendums).
Other Requirements:
Strongcommunication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing patient care needs.
