Shift:Days, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$30.27 - $40.86 / hour

  • Answering in basket questions
  • Answering phone calls as needed
  • NICU screening and chart reviewscreen all new babies and do an in-depth chart review
  • Autism appointment scheduling, updating the autism Excel sheet, and two-month autism callbacks
  • Scheduling Bayleys and screening Bayley's appointments
  • Look at the charts to see which babies are Bayley eligible and when their appointment would be
  • Bayley date input into Excel sheet
  • Make new patient appointments and create new patient charts after receiving referrals
  • PVP chart preparation for next daygoing over specialties, therapies, recent ER visits, and audiology screenings
  • Every Tuesday- 2-hour NICU discharge planning meeting at Golisano Children's Hospital
  • Discharge coordination with other specialties for continuation of care
  • Schedule meeting with NICU parentsgoing over what to expect from developmental follow up/educating parents on developmental milestones (our census is continuously high so phone calls)

Summary

Responsible for providing an excellent patient experience while delivering and documenting safe patient care through utilization of the nursing process in collaboration with the physician, practice leadership and other care team members. Provides oversight and coordination of nursing care delivered in the practice setting or telephonically, ensuring the care delivered is effective, efficient and achieves desired patient outcomes. responsible for supporting and guiding the care team in collaboration with the practice and physician leadership based on treatment plan, established clinical nursing practice standards subscribed to by American Nursing Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and other regulatory standards. Demonstrates proficient utilization of available tools and resources which supports the unlicensed and licensed clinical staff including but not limited to: educating, mentoring, competency validation and evaluating. Contributes to the provision of quality care in the office setting through excellence in customer service and utilization of performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. This position has the knowledge, experience, interpersonal skills and behaviors appropriate to serve as a resource for internal and external customers regarding patient care.

Requirements

Education Requirements:Associates degree from accredited school of professional nursing required; Bachelors preferred.

Experience Requirements:Office/outpatient experience preferred. Experience requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department specific requirements.

Certification Requirements:Certification in Ambulatory Nursing preferred. Certification requirements may vary by department. Please reference the Nursing Addendums for department specific requirements.

Specialty Areas:American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

License Requirements:Currently licensed in the State of Florida.

Other Requirements:Above average communication skills. Adaptable and participative with technology changes.
