FT/PT Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$25.34 - $32.95 / hour

PRN pay rate: $33.74 / hour |$37.50 / hour (skilled nursing)

Summary

PTA: The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT). PTAs implement selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention; make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Physical Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort; educate and interact with Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers; and respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations. The PTA is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. The attributes, characteristics or behaviors required for success in this job include: critical thinking, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, use of constructive feedback, effective use of time and resources, stress management, and commitment to learning.

COTA: Provides occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of the occupational therapist. The COTA implements selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention; make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Occupational Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort; educate and interact Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers; and respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations. The COTA will be expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner. The attributes, characteristics or behaviors required for success in this job include: critical thinking, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, use of constructive feedback, effective use of time and resources, stress management, and commitment to learning.

Requirements

Educational Requirements
Required:

  • Associate's Physical Therapist Assistant OR Associates in accredited COTA program
Additional Requirements:
  • Eligible Lee Health candidates are required to graduate from an accredited program. The accepted accrediting body required for Lee Health's Rehabilitation Professionals is the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
