The Privacy Coordinator is a member of the Compliance department and is to support corporate efforts to protect patient information in a fashion that strengthens the trust our community members have in us, protects our image, enhances the member experience, and is compliant with governing regulations.
This position will have a hybrid schedule.
Education: Bachelors degree required in health information, law, information security, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 Years of healthcare compliance experience with focus in healthcare privacy.
Certification: CHPC, or similar privacy or compliance certification preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of certification.
License: N/A
Other: Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant privacy frameworks. Strong understanding of healthcare information systems and the handling of PHI. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
