Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$21.64 - $28.13 / hour

Summary

Purchases pharmaceuticals, controlled substances and related pharmaceutical supplies. Performs inventory control. Abides by the Group Purchasing Program contracts. Application of inventory control techniques including ABC analysis, monitoring turnover rate and maintaining appropriate stock levels. Helps implement and coordinate the purchasing of formulary items and contracts from buying groups, wholesalers and vendors and is responsible for all activities related to the purchasing, receipt and storage of all pharmaceuticals.

Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced education preferred.

Experience:

Two years of prior pharmacy technician experience required. One year of pharmacy purchasing experience required.

License:

Registered Pharmacy Technician with Florida Department of Health required.

Certification:

CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) with national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required.

Other:

Data entry experience, knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills.
