Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$25.06 - $32.58 / hour

Summary

The Personal Health Advocate is one of the primary liaisons who builds relationships with the residents of Lee County in support of business development efforts. This position is responsible for increasing awareness and utilization of Lee Health services, while always placing the needs of the customer first. The PHA is responsible for conducting appropriate outreach activities that helps community members navigate Outpatient, Post-Acute, Physician and Acute Care services. The PHA will serve as a point of contact for community residents to access the services provided by Lee Health. This position develops, implements and participates in customer service and patient relations initiatives related to Lee Health. The Representative will promptly investigate, resolve, document and report organization-specific patient and customer compliments and concerns to leadership and staff. The PHA will provide monthly accountability and outreach documentation to vested leadership and operational staff. The PHA will be involved in building health and wellness education opportunities related to the needs of the community.

Requirements

Education: Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Public Relations, Health Education, Health Sciences, or other health related field.

Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred; familiarity with Lee Health services, procedures, and providers preferred.

Other: The Personal Health Advocate must project an approachable and professional image in personal manner and demeanor, remain positive and personable under stress and embrace the core values of Lee Health. Strong interpersonal, communication and customer relation skills are required along with the ability to quickly process and easily converse about healthcare information. The PHA must be results-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills, demonstrate leadership, be self-motived and have initiative, results oriented with demonstrated.

Willingness to obtain Professional Health Advocate Certification or other related professional development to strengthen his/her role within the community.
