You may be assigned to one of our five hospital campuses across Fort Myers and Cape Coral, contributing to infection prevention and control initiatives that make a true difference in our community.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead and implement infection prevention strategies at your assigned campus
  • Conduct surveillance and analyze data to identify trends and reduce hospital-acquired infections
  • Present critical infection-related information to campus leadership during daily huddles
  • Collaborate with campus dyad leadership on infection-related initiatives
  • Develop and deliver staff education based on surveillance findings and evidence-based practices
  • Co-lead Clinical Consensus workgroups with physician leaders
  • Respond independently to after-hours epidemiology/infection control needs
  • Serve on hospital/system committees related to infection prevention
  • Contribute to the annual Infection Prevention Plan and patient safety strategies
  • Partner with the Infection Prevention Medical Director on key initiatives
  • Provide bedside ("at the elbow") education and support to staff, patients, and families

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelors degree required
BSN preferred OR a Bachelor's/Master's in a related health field (e.g., Microbiology, Medical Technology, Epidemiology, or Public Health)

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in nursing or a related healthcare field
Experience in infection prevention, patient safety, or adult education preferred
RN experience in critical care is highly preferred
Must demonstrate cultural competence and ability to engage diverse learners
