Lee Health is looking for a local Southwest Florida candidate for a Call Center-based Insurance Services Specialist role. This is a non-patient-facing position, focused on completing insurance verifications, authorizations, and financial screenings over the phone to ensure timely reimbursement for services across our health system.
📞 Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls
🔍 Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations
💻 Perform financial screenings using Epic and other systems
🧾 Review and interpret insurance and medical documentation
🧠 Understand and apply relevant medical terminology for authorization processes
Must live in Southwest Florida (SWFL) this is an on-site position
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Clerical or healthcare insurance experience (required)
Experience with Epic EMR (preferred)
Strong phone communication, computer, and analytical skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
