Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$15.64 - $18.75 / hour
This position is for hospital claims billing, follow up, and denial resolution for Medicare accounts. This role promotes revenue integrity and accurate reimbursement for the organization by ensuring timely and accurate billing and collection of Medicare accounts. Responsibilities include the resolution of accounts receivable by working assigned reports, work queues and claim edits to secure maximum reimbursement and to resolve denied or underpaid claims in a timely manner. The candidate must be able to manage high claim volumes while remaining detailed oriented. The ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks is essential. Must possess excellent communication skills, work collaboratively with others to promote positive customer and employee relations. The ability to appropriately handle the stress and complexity of the position regarding the ever-changing requirements of Medicare and the Health System is required. Having a basic understanding of federal and state billing regulations as well as requirements specific to Medicare, Medicaid, and fiscal intermediaries to promote compliant claims submission practices for governmental claims is preferred. Computer experience is required. EPIC knowledge preferred. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (GED). Previous medical/financial healthcare or business office related experience is preferred.
