Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$15.64 - $18.75 / hour
Responsible for accurately posting and processing all payments received in the Central Business Office. Daily responsibilities include uploading, balancing, logging, and posting electronic remittance, manual posting of payments according to payer guidelines, applying and calculating contractual adjustments at the patient account level. Responsibilities also include preparing and verifying remote bank deposits, completing Excel posting logs, identifying, and resolving credit balances and undistributed payments via work queues. Researching and resolving unidentified payments and working clearing accounts. Must possess excellent communication skills, highly detail oriented and have the ability to appropriately handle stress and complexity. A positive attitude and friendly personality required. Must promote positive employee and customer relations and have the ability to work both independently or within a positive team environment. High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required, minimum 1-2 years medical/financial healthcare or business office experience, must have computer experience and the ability to type 15 words per minute, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel desired.
This position does have the potential for telecommuting once training has been completed.
