Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$20.00 - $23.50 / hour

Summary

The Food Service Associate performs a variety of food service and customer service duties in a fast-paced environment. This role supports daily food operations by assisting with food handling, sanitation, customer interaction, and point-of-sale transactions while providing friendly and efficient service to patrons.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, and distribute food and department-related supplies
• Operate automatic and/or manual dishwashing equipment according to established procedures
• Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately
• Answer phones and take customer orders
• Prepare coffees, smoothies, and other menu items as needed
• Transport food delivery carts to service units when required
• Complete assigned cleaning and sanitation duties in compliance with health and safety standards
• Interact professionally with peers, patrons, and management, providing excellent customer service
• Assist with general food service operations as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills for cash handling
• Ability to follow sanitation and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous food service, barista, or cashier experience
• Familiarity with cash register or POS systems
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Work Environment

• Standing for extended periods
• Handling food service equipment and supplies
• Regular interaction with customers and staff
