Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$25.06 - $32.58 / hour
Reporting to the System Director of Ambulatory Facilities, the Fire and Safety Coordinator is responsible for planning, development, implementation and coordination of a comprehensive Fire and Life Safety Program across all Lee Health ambulatory sites. Maintains relationships on behalf of Lee Health with organizational management teams, vendors, service providers, and facility landlords. Engages directly with vendors in the establishment and negotiated terms of service contracts to support Fire and Life Safety systems to ensure all facilities and sites meet mandatory local, state, and federal regulatory standards. Maintains preventive maintenance schedules including tracking, managing, and reporting on all required maintenance activities.
Education: Associates degree related to safety management preferred or 5 years healthcare safety management or fire safety experience in lieu of an associates degree.
Experience: Three years safety management experience with at least one year in healthcare fire and life safety maintenance. Survey experience with any of the following authorities having jurisdiction: Florida AHCA, OSHA, Florida or Lee County Department of Health, DNV, or Joint Commission. Knowledge in principles of healthcare hazardous material, safety management, fire and life safety, and healthcare operations.
Certification: Certifications in Emergency Management and/or Hazardous Material Emergency Response preferred.
