As a key member of the Patient Access team, this position focuses on:
This role helps make sure patients are cleared for their appointments and that Lee Health can be paid correctly and on time.
You will:
Strong communication skills are important, as you will work with patients, providers, and other departments by phone, electronically, and in writing. Attention to detail, good computer skills, and the ability to follow regulations and payer guidelines are required.
You must be able to multi-task, think critically, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment, while always supporting a positive patient experience.
This role is eligible for remote work after successfully meeting departmental responsibilities and requirements.
RequirementsEducation:High School diploma or equivalent required. Post high school training or associate degree preferred.
Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer relations role required. Epic experience preferred. Minimum of 1 year healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.

Other:Medical terminology knowledge desired. Excellent computer skills. Ability to speak multiple languages is helpful. Knowledge and understanding of telephone etiquette including strong listening skills are essential. Excellent customer service skills are also required, including verbal and written communication.
