Summary

Functions as Director of Surgical Services Operations and Logistics for Surgical Services system-wide to ensure all locations are working together to achieve core clinical and business goals. Serves as an internal consultant, resource person, and performance improvement facilitator collaborating with medical staff, leaders, and clinical teams to identify and facilitate continuous improvement projects and related activities. Ensure service line connectivity and system decisions across all surgical locations, supporting resources responsible for capital acquisitions and standardized approach to supply usage. Through ongoing data analytics, review, and in collaboration with surgical services directors, establishes system aligned strategic goals and tactics; develops and cascades competency/performance SMART goals to teams/staff, and syncs ongoing development efforts, ensuring knowledge and skills to meet service line goals. Facilitate capital and supply implementation collaborations with Supply Chain Management, ensuring budgeted capital and supply spend targets. Maintain effective communication with surgical services leadership, sustainability specialists, staff, and supporting departments. Oversee critical and related inventory and materials to the surgical locations within the hospital system, including outpatient surgery centers. Ensure transportation functions that support the achievement of Lee Healths goals and KPIs for the Sterile Processing Departments (SPD) product delivery and customer satisfaction. Develop and lead initiatives to maximize the truck delivery schedules and supporting resources, improving fleet utilization and overall cost effectiveness. Drive and implement fleet management strategic plans for SPD and Surgical Services to align with Lee Healths vision for continuous improvement. Develop process metrics and supporting KPI dashboards providing Lee Health leadership with performance outcomes and achievements supporting SPD equipment and supplies. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to help foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education: MBA in Healthcare or Business Administration or health care related discipline required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of operational management experience, finance, supply chain, or other areas of healthcare providing a broad scope of knowledge. Familiar with health care continuum, data analytics, capital and supply chain procurement. Minimum of 3 years experience in logistics.

Other: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and system data reporting applications. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Creative thinker, quick learner, entrepreneurial skills, and self-motivation.
