If so,Golisano Childrens Hospital of Southwest Florida Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) is seeking a compassionate CNA to work part-time, varied hours each week. This position also serves as an escort to children riding our bus to and from the PPEC located on Bass Road.
Related experience: Will consider candidates who have experience working with children in a daycare/church program/foster parenting/YMCA. Babysitting only if validated with references. Level ll background check required prior to hire. Per AHCA regulations candidates must have one year or more working experience in the care of infants and toddlers.

Provides patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health, social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid and elimination needs. May have access to and transport non-controlled medications as directed.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of a State Approved, CNA Education Program required (with at least 120 hours of academic studies and clinical training; 165 hours preferred in Acute Care).
Experience: Previous CNA work experience preferred; or new graduate CNA with clinical training.
Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.
License: Current Florida CNA Certification; or a CNA certification active in another state which is transferrable to obtain Florida certification under reciprocity.
Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology.
