Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$31.90 - $41.48 / hour

Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist plays a key role in supporting Cardiologists during invasive procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and/or Electrophysiology Lab. This position is responsible for performing all aspects of circulating, scrubbing, recording, and imaging duties, while also providing safe, direct patient care and equipment support in a high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac or electrophysiology procedures, ensuring readiness of equipment and supplies

  • Perform circulating, scrubbing, and hemodynamic monitoring roles, including ECG interpretation and real-time data capture

  • Administer medications under appropriate protocols and monitor patient responses

  • Interpret and respond to hemodynamic and electrophysiological changes during procedures

  • Operate and troubleshoot imaging and procedural equipment with minimal supervision

  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols

  • Provide patient-centered care, comfort, and education throughout the procedural process

Requirements

Education:Associate Degree required or two years of formal education or training beyond high school required.

Experience:Minimum of 1 year of CVT experience required.

Certification:Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. For units that require American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
