The Floor Technician is a specialized Environmental Services professional responsible for the advanced cleaning, maintenance, and restoration of all floor surfaces within the facility, including hard flooring and carpeted areas (scrubbing, stripping, refinishing, buffing/burnishing) and carpet (shampooing, extraction). Ensures all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention, directly contributing to the overall patient experience and regulatory compliance. A Floor Technician plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and healing environment by using appropriate chemicals, operating specialized equipment, and following detailed protocols for environmental sanitation. The technicians work supports patient care operations, minimizes infection risks, and upholds the aesthetic and functional quality of the healthcare environment.
