Be Valued for Being You.

At Lee Health, it's all about you.

Lee Health is proud to be named on the Forbes list of America's Best-in-State Employers for the second year in a row.

HealthPark Medical Center and Lee Memorial Hospital have been awarded the highest five-star accolade, putting Lee Health hospitals in the top 15% of hospitals in the country for the second year in a row.

All Lee Health hospitals received honors as Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for the high-quality care they provide to the Southwest Florida community.

Lee Health is honored to be the first healthcare system in Florida to be recognized with the Governor's Sterling Award, granted by the Sterling Council.

Lee Health has been honored with the inaugural Pinnacle of EHR Experience Award from the KLAS Arch Collaborative, recognizing our health system's efforts to enhance the electronic health record (EHR) experience for physicians and providers. The award places Lee Health among an elite group of only 10 organizations nationwide to receive this honor.

Lee Health is a nonprofit organization with more than 17,000 employees, 4,500 volunteers, and more than 1,200 employed primary care and specialty providers with multiple practice locations throughout Southwest Florida. The organization has four acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital that together house over 1,800 hospital beds.

About FSU's Family Medicine Residency Program:

We are a 3-year, ACGME certified program with a 100% Board Exam Pass Rate since our inception.

Our residency program offers you a close-knit fellowship with other residents, staff and faculty, while preparing you in a supportive training environment to graduate the program fully equipped to practice full-spectrum family medicine. Our residents provide the highest quality of comprehensive and compassionate care to patients throughout their life cycle, with particular emphasis on the goal of reducing health disparities for the underserved community. We are near downtown Fort Myers, a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HSPA). Due to a shortage of primary care physicians in Southwest Florida, there exists numerous opportunities for graduates to work in ambulatory, inpatient, and long-term care facilities.

Build a Legacy.

We empower residents to become well-rounded Family Physicians by providing a strong, comprehensive foundation alongside the flexibility to personalize their training. Residents have the opportunity to cultivate their passions with early electives and focused areas of concentration such as Lifestyle Medicine, Womens Health, Global Health, Sports Medicine and others. As a core site for the Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum, residents receive mentorship from our many Lifestyle Medicine board-certified faculty. Ultimately, this approach empowers our graduates to become leaders who provide excellent, compassionate care in any community they choose to serve.

Come build with us.

We believe our program to be distinct in three ways:

  • Engaging with our community:Our residents and faculty are active in various outreach projects in the area, with opportunities to serve in various roles as healers for our community.
  • Multiple optional focused tracks:Including Health Disparities, Global Health, Sports Medicine, Medical Informatics and Lifestyle Medicine.
  • Fostering an environment where residents voices and ideas are heard and acted upon:Chiefs join weekly Faculty and Leadership Meetings to bring feedback. Residents meet biweekly to discuss important issues for the Chiefs to bring to the faculty.
