Lee Health is seeking a Lead Physician, Section of Addiction & Recovery Medicine

Lee Health is a nonprofit organization with more than 17,000 employees, 4,500 volunteers, and more than 1,200 employed primary care and specialty care providers with multiple practice locations throughout Southwest Florida. The organization has four acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital that together house over 1,800 hospital beds.

Position Information:

Lee Health is seeking a visionaryBoard-Certified Physicianto serve as theSection Leaderfor Addiction and Recovery Medicine. This is a pivotal leadership role within a rapidly expanding Division of Behavioral Health. As we strive for designation as aCenter of Excellence,the Lead Physician will spearhead the growth of outpatient services and pioneer innovative care delivery models for the Southwest Florida community.

• Leadership & Growth:Report directly to the Medical Director and System Director to shape the next phase of the Sections evolution.
• Innovative Care:Develop novel and innovative methods to care for patients that are geographically separated by distance from Lee Health in Fort Myers are needed as the next phase of growth.
• Established Support:Lead a dedicated team, historically comprised of two physicians, an RN, an Addiction Psychotherapist, and robust administrative staff.
• Research & Academic Support:For candidates with a track record or interest in clinical research, Lee Health provides the infrastructure for grant writing, submission, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-levelclinical oversightand direct patient care within the outpatient addiction program.
• Drive the strategic expansion of services to meet significant community demand.
• Uphold and champion standards ofclinical excellenceto achieve "Center of Excellence" distinction.
• The successful applicant will work to expand services to meet the large need in the community

Qualifications:

• Board Certification:Required in your primary medical specialty.
• Addiction Medicine:Board Certification and Fellowship training in Addiction Medicine are highly preferred.
• Leadership Mindset:A proven ability to scale programs and implement innovative healthcare solutions.
• Clinical Excellence:A commitment to evidence-based, compassionate recovery medicine.
