What is the APP Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
The APP Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Peds EM) Fellowship is a 12-month program designed for postgraduate Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) specializing in Peds EM at Lee Health. It is intended for newly graduated APPs or those entering the Peds EM field who are seeking additional clinical training and mentorship. The program aims to cultivate empathetic, skilled, and efficient providers who can deliver high-quality care to children presenting in the pediatric emergency department.
Interested APPs must have appropriate certification: PAs must be NCCPA certified, APRNs should be appropriately certified to work in the Pediatric EM setting with patients across the life span, to include pediatric patients (e.g. Family Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, etc.)
