Summary

The Ambulatory RN Supervisor provides clinical and operational leadership for one or more areas within ambulatory or outpatient patient care services. This role ensures the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care in alignment with the organizations mission, the American Nurses Association standards, and the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The Supervisor supports and empowers nursing staff through guidance, mentorship, and the promotion of professional excellence in practice.

Functioning as a clinician, teacher, researcher, leader, and professional development advocate, the RN Supervisor fosters a collaborative environment that enhances patient outcomes and staff engagement. This position requires a strong focus on quality improvement, patient safety, and customer service, integrating evidence-based practices and performance metrics into daily operations. The Supervisor also ensures that care delivery is culturally competent and responsive to the diverse needs of the patient population.


Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelors Degree in Healthcare or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience required.

  • Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure:

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.

Certifications:

  • Relevant clinical or leadership certifications preferred (e.g., BLS, ACLS, or Nursing Leadership credentials).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication abilities.

  • Proven ability to manage staffing, workflow, and patient care priorities.

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development.

  • Ability to lead through collaboration, motivation, and mentorship.
