Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$39.70 - $39.70 / hour
Responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing for all patient types in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. Performs waived, moderate and high complexity tests in accordance with state, federal and other regulatory requirements. Completes equipment maintenance, quality control and quality management activities in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and departmental policies and procedures. Prioritize workload and demonstrate flexibility to meet customer and departmental needs. Actively participates in process improvement to enhance turnaround times and quality of test results utilizing decision making and troubleshooting skills. Effectively communicates and demonstrates good customer service throughout the health system to include nursing staff, physicians, patients, co-workers and other Lee Health customers and employees.
Education:Bachelors or associate degree required with concentration in laboratory technology, chemical or biological sciences.
Experience:None Required.
Certification:Successful completion of an accredited clinical laboratory technologist training program in accordance with the State of Florida Department of Health, Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel Florida Administrative Code.
License:Clinical Laboratory Technologist (TN) or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (SU) required.
Other:Communication and interpersonal skills, general computer skills, ability to operate office equipment (phone, fax, copier).
