Educational Requirements: Radiology or MRI degree graduates accepted. Graduation of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree program.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of two (2) years of recent MRI experience. Ideal candidate would have 3-5 yrs experience.
Licensure Requirements: Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only. MRI degree for non-radiology techs.
Certifications/Registration Requirements:
"Coordinates daily MRI department operations and workflow. Acts as a resource to all staff. Accepts assigned duties such as developing work and on-call staffing schedules. Accepts ""in charge"" responsibilities as appropriate. Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector in order to produce diagnostic quality MRI images. Understands the computer software of the MRI scanners and maintains competency in MRI area. Consistently applies working knowledge pertaining to MRI anatomy and patho-physiology to produce a high standard of quality images while under the direction of a radiologist. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Required to participate in ""on-call"" rotation as determined by specific department needs."
Education:Graduation of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography or MRI degree Program.
Experience:Minimum of two (2) years of recent MRI experience.
Certification:BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required.
License:Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only. MRI degree for non-radiology techs.
Other:ARRT, registered or eligible. Ability to lead MRI technologists in a fast-paced high-volume department.
