Our Pulmonology team at Metro Outpatient Center is looking for a compassionate, organized Customer Service Representative to be the welcoming first point of contact for patients receiving specialized lung and respiratory care.

🌿 What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play an essential role in keeping our pulmonary clinic running smoothly while delivering exceptional patient service.

Daily responsibilities may include:

🌬 Answering and managing high-volume phone calls
πŸ“… Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
🫁 Welcoming and checking in patients for pulmonary visits
πŸ“‹ Verifying insurance coverage and eligibility
πŸ“ Processing authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications
πŸ’³ Posting charges and assisting with initial patient collections
πŸ“‘ Preparing accurate and well-coded billing documentation
πŸ“ Maintaining and updating patient medical records
πŸ“ž Coordinating with providers, clinical staff, and insurance carriers
πŸ₯ Supporting business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, corporate accounts, and employee health as needed

This role may occasionally require late hours, weekends, or holiday coverage depending on department needs.

Prior medical office or healthcare customer service experience (preferred)

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.

Experience: Less than 1 Year Clerical/Administrative required. Insurance/Customer Service preferred.

Certification:BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required in Employee Health and may also be required at other locations within 90 days of hire.

License: N/A

Other: Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, IT/computer proficient, basic math, knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful.
