Location: Gulf Coast Medical Center Campus: Orion Building,6630 Orion Drive,Fort Myers FL 33912

Department: Lee Physician Group (LPG):Triage

Work Type: Full Time, Exempt/Salary (80 hours bi-weekly)

Shift: Days, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday (some Saturday rotation) (some Holiday rotation)

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: Range:$34.97 - $45.46 / hour

Looking for:

Leadership experience: managing staff/people, interview, coaching, payroll, HR, budget, schedules, interpreting metrics/reports...etc.

Triage experience (formal and/or informal), Prioritizing and multi-tasking high volume/urgent situations, mental health crisis situations

Summary

The Supervisor manages one or more defined areas of organized patient care services. Supervisors provide direction to patient care staff to promote safe quality patient care and nursing services in a professionally supportive environment on a continuous basis by ensuring consistent nursing standards guide the provision of nursing care. Responsible for directing and coordinating patient care within their defined area of responsibility through established standards subscribed by the American Nurses Association and in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Performs responsibilities in five areas of nursing practice: clinician, teacher, researcher, leadership and professional development. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors degree in nursing or healthcare field preferred.

Experience: 2 years' of nursing experience required. Nursing Leadership experience preferred.

State of Florida Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) required.

Certifications/Registration: Certification in appropriate specialty preferred. BLS required.

Other: Ability to participate in developing and implementing organizational strategies to improve the delivery of care. Exceptional communication skills.
