Summary:
The Adult Clinical Psychologist provides primary care and behavioral health services across the adult lifespan to diverse individuals and families. As a behavioral health consultant (BHC), the primary care psychologist: (i) works effectively on primary care teams providing behavioral health consultations, care coordination, and consultations to the medical staff; (ii) delivers short-term, evidence-based interventions; (iii) effectively uses screening and outcome tools; (iv) ensures excellent and timely clinical documentation within an electronic health record; (v) is familiar with team-based care, the patient-centered medical home model, trauma-informed care, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administrations SAMHSAs levels of healthcare integration; and (vi) has foundational cultural competency and works from a frame of cultural humility. The position is fully integrated within the primary care practice site.
