Summary

The Associate Director of Grants supports Lee Healths efforts to secure, manage, and maximize grant funding in support of Lee Health and its programs, services, and strategic priorities. This position manages an assigned portfolio of grants from prospect identification and proposal development through award management, reporting, compliance, and closeout.

Working closely with the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs (OGSP) team, Lee Health leaders, clinical and operational partners, finance, legal, compliance, and external funders, the Associate Director ensures that grants are strategically aligned, competitively developed, effectively administered, and compliant with funder requirements.

The Associate Director serves as a key resource to internal program leaders and is expected to build strong relationships across Lee Health while maintaining a high level of professionalism and responsiveness with foundations, corporations, government agencies, and other funding partners.

Requirements

Education:Bachelors degree in communications, business, public health, health administration, public administration, or related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in grants management, nonprofit administration, or research administration required. Prior experience managing federal and/or state funding streams is highly preferred.

Other:This position requires excellent writing, project management, cross-functional communication, organizational, analytical and relationship-management skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a complex healthcare environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, grant management/tracking software (e.g., Instrumentl), and online funder portals (e.g., Grants.gov).
