The Director of Revenue Integrity is responsible for driving enterprise-wide revenue integrity performance by ensuring accurate, compliant, and optimized financial outcomes across the health system. This role bridges clinical operations, coding, compliance, and the business office to ensure that patient encounters are appropriately documented, charged, and billed in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Reporting to the System Director of Revenue Cycle, the Director leads cross-functional initiatives to identify and resolve revenue leakage, reduce avoidable denials, and improve end-to-end revenue cycle workflows. Through data-driven analysis and collaboration, this role supports the execution of system-wide strategy and drives process improvements that result in sustained compliance and measurable financial outcomes.
Education: Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required. Eight (8) years of progressive revenue cycle experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Masters degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years progressively challenging revenue cycle experience required. Progressive leadership experience in Revenue Cycle required.
Certification: Minimum one coding certification (listed below) required.

Other: Demonstrated expertise in healthcare revenue cycle operations, with strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (CMS, OIG, and payer guidelines) and the ability to translate regulatory changes into operational workflows. Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable financial outcomes, including reduction in revenue leakage and avoidable denials. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and implement solutions across complex environments. Experience establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and sustained performance improvement. Advanced collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to influence clinical, operational, and financial leaders in a matrixed environment. Strong communication and facilitation skills, including leading multidisciplinary workgroups and driving alignment on enterprise priorities. Experience leading large-scale process improvement and change management initiatives, with familiarity in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, execute strategic initiatives, and deliver results in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Demonstrated success in building and developing high- performing teams, including setting clear expectations, coaching leaders, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
