Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$61.44 - $82.97 / hour
An attorney who performs professional legal services for the health system. The position performs substantive legal work and reports to a Senior Counsel, Senior Managing Attorney, Assistant General Counsel, or Vice President. Counsel works collaboratively across department and is a member of respective Practice Group providing guidance on wide range of topics such as real estate vendor agreements, acquisitions, commercial leases, construction matters; labor and employment laws, employment agreements, policy review and advise. Education on relevant legal topics, immigration and graduate medial education matters is essential.
Education: Juris Doctorate degree or 7 or more years of formal education required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an attorney; practicing in-house with a health system or equivalent preferred.
Certification: N/A
License: Admission as a member in good standing of the Florida bar within one (1) year of hire or recognized as Authorized House Counsels in Florida.
Other: Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish priorities. Ability to conduct legal research and provide legal guidance and recommendations. Ability to effectively collaborate with support staff. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with non-lawyers. Ability to make judgment calls without all the facts provided and being embedded in the business.
