About This Position:

Our Behavioral Therapy team at Golisano Children's Health Center provides compassionate, individualized care to support children and families in achieving meaningful developmental and behavioral goals. Through evidence-based interventions and a collaborative, family-centered approach, our team helps patients build skills that promote independence, communication, emotional regulation, and success in everyday life.

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will be responsible for implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA, providing 1:1 support to children in both individual and small group settings, and promoting communication, social, behavioral, and problem-solving skills through evidence-based interventions. You will collect and document accurate patient data, recognize and report patient changes or safety concerns, and assist with behavioral protocols and daily therapeutic activities. In addition, you will support departmental operations by maintaining treatment areas, organizing supplies and equipment, completing clerical and administrative tasks, and contributing to a positive, collaborative patient care environment through effective communication, flexibility, and teamwork.

About our Rehabilitation Team:

Our Rehabilitation Services team is one of the largest and most dynamic in the region. With over 700 skilled professionals dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence through comprehensive, compassionate care. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs. Beyond core therapy services, we offer a variety of specialty programs including neurological rehabilitation, vestibular and balance therapy, lymphedema management, pelvic health therapy, and oncology rehabilitation. With services spanning acute care, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient settings, our team delivers exceptional, evidence-based care that restores function and enhances quality of life.

What This Position Requires:

Education:High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of 40-hour RBT Training is required.

Experience:Prior experience working as a RBT is preferred.

Certification:RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) required. Certificate is responsible for ensuring the RBT is working under the supervision of a BACB certificate.

Other:Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, strong customer satisfaction skills, attention to detail, problem solving, and passion to help children affected by autism.
