Summary

Step into a high-impact leadership role where strategy meets patient care. As a Division Director of Operations for Lee Physician Group, youll serve as a key driver of operational excellenceleading a dynamic portfolio of 50+ providers across multiple specialty practices while shaping the future of ambulatory care delivery.

In close partnership with the System Director of Practice Operations and physician leadership, youll influence everything from practice performance and financial outcomes to patient experience and growth strategy. This is more than operationsits an opportunity to lead transformation, empower teams, and make a measurable difference in how care is delivered across the community.

What Youll Do

  • Lead & Inspire: Provide strategic oversight and day-to-day operational leadership for a large, multi-site division of specialty practices, supporting Practice Managers, Directors, and Office Leaders.
  • Drive Performance: Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute operational plans, budgets, and growth strategies that elevate performance across clinical, financial, and patient experience metrics.
  • Be Present in the Field: Maintain a strong on-site presencerounding regularly in practices to coach teams, identify opportunities, and ensure operational consistency and excellence.
  • Optimize Patient Care Delivery: Collaborate with providers and leadership to enhance workflows, improve access, and elevate the overall patient experience.
  • Champion Innovation & Change: Lead key initiatives and projects that advance operational efficiency, support scalability, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen Teams & Culture: Foster a collaborative, high-performing environment aligned with Lee Healths mission, values, and commitment to exceptional care.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required; MHA or MBA strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare practice operations
  • Deep understanding of ambulatory care, clinic workflows, revenue cycle, and EMR systems
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, manage complexity, and drive results across multiple sites
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and navigate challenging conversations
  • Certification as a Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) preferred

Requirements

Education: Bachelors in healthcare, business administration or related field required or commensurate education and experience. MHA/MBA preferred.

Experience: Minimum of eight years of progressive practice management experience within a health care system required. Knowledge of ambulatory care delivery systems and clinic operations.

Certification: Certification as a Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) preferred.

License: N/A

Other: Knowledge of ambulatory care; background in clinic procedures including schedule management, registration, use of electronic medical record, patient flow, billing and referrals and authorizations. Computer proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft Office software and in-depth knowledge of electronic medical record and billing software applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary. Must have superb interpersonal skills and be able to handle difficult conversations effectively. Demonstrate ability to listen well and gain consensus. Experience in planning and execution. Knowledge of change management. Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to express opinions openly and honestly and provide feedback in a timely and productive manner. Ability to examine and re-engineer operations and procedures. Strong budget, financial and statistical analysis skills and ability to interpret information to staff and providers. Demonstrates flexibility to accommodate changes in workload assignments and react calmly and effectively in stressful situations. Ability to work independently and set priorities under minimal supervision. Ability to work within the defined values, mission and vision of the organization.
