About This Position:

Gulf Coast Medical Center stands as our largest campus and is designated both a Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. With 699 beds, Gulf Coast Medical Center delivers advanced, specialized care across Critical Care, Oncology, Orthopedic, Colorectal, Vascular, and General Surgery service lines. Deeply involved in each step of the patient journey, our Acute Care Therapy Services team plays a key role in delivering programs like Animal-Assisted Therapy, the Early Activity Initiative, Why Not Home, and our In-House Rehabilitation Programs, all designed to achieve exceptional outcomes.

As a Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services, you will oversee the daily operations of the department while supporting the training, development, and performance of staff. This role requires the ability to step into a productive clinical position as patient care needs arise. You will partner with the department manager in all aspects of employee management, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, performance management, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions. In this role, you will observe staff performance, contribute to competency assessments, and assist with annual evaluations. You may also represent the department or manager in campus meetings and committees as designated. Additionally, you will provide direct patient care in your capacity as a therapist when needed.

About our Rehabilitation Team:

Our Rehabilitation Services team is one of the largest and most dynamic in the region. With over 700 skilled professionals dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence through comprehensive, compassionate care. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients unique needs. Beyond core therapy services, we offer a variety of specialty programs including neurological rehabilitation, vestibular and balance therapy, lymphedema management, pelvic health therapy, and oncology rehabilitation. With services spanning acute care, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient settings, our team delivers exceptional, evidence-based care that restores function and enhances quality of life.

What This Position Requires:

Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology

Experience: 5 years of clinical experience preferred

Licensure: Active Florida State Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist Licensure consistent with educational background.

Other:A strong candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to exceptional customer service. Success in this role also requires strong problem-solving abilities, proven leadership qualities, and a solid work ethic.
