Are you a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) with leadership experience who enjoys supporting teams and improving operations? We are seeking an Office Supervisor to lead the daily operations of a Diabetes Education program while supporting both clinical and front-end staff who play a vital role in the patient experience.
This role is ideal for a diabetes educator who understands the clinical side of diabetes education as well as the operational workflow of scheduling, insurance verification, and patient access. Your leadership will help ensure patients receive timely education services and a seamless experience from scheduling to care delivery.
The Office Supervisor Diabetes Education Program provides operational oversight for the department while supporting the delivery of high-quality Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) services. This role supervises a team of five Customer Service Representatives who manage patient scheduling and insurance benefits verification for the department.
The supervisor ensures smooth day-to-day operations, supports staff development, and serves as a key resource for complex insurance benefits verification and scheduling issues. This position collaborates closely with clinical staff and leadership to maintain efficient workflows and a positive patient experience.
Supervise and support five Customer Service Representatives responsible for patient scheduling and front-end operations
Provide guidance and oversight for insurance benefits verification, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Assist staff with complex insurance verification issues and payer requirements
Monitor scheduling workflows to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately for Diabetes Self-Management Education services
Support staff training, coaching, and performance management
Collaborate with clinical providers and leadership to maintain efficient clinic operations
Promote a positive patient experience from first contact through education services
Education
Associates Degree in Healthcare or related field required
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional practice experience as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) in Diabetes Self-Management Education
Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
Experience with insurance benefits verification and scheduling workflows
Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
OR
Dietitian License Required
CDE Certified Diabetes Educator (Required)
National Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) if licensed as a dietitian
