Shift: 7:30 AM 6:00 PM (4x10-hour shifts, TuesdayFriday)
π² Pay Range: $21.54 $25.31 per hour
Lee Healths Advanced Lung Care Center provides specialized care for patients with lung conditions, including lung cancer screening and lung nodule evaluation. Through advanced technology and a highly collaborative team, patients receive coordinated, personalized careall in one place.
Support providers in delivering advanced pulmonary and respiratory care
Room patients, obtain vitals, and accurately document medical histories
Assist with procedures and specialized treatments
Perform clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
Coordinate patient flow and ensure a positive patient experience
Educate patients on care plans, medications, and next steps
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Prepare exam rooms and assist in maintaining a safe, clean clinical environment
The Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering an excellent patient experience in a team-based environment while supporting all aspects of the medical practice under the supervision of a physician or physician assistant. This role includes ensuring patient safety, performing clinical procedures, processing lab specimens, administering medications per policy, and maintaining accurate documentation. Additional responsibilities include coordinating prescriptions and information requests, preparing patient care areas, and supporting efficient clinic operations. Flexibility for occasional extended hours, weekends, or holidays may be required.
Candidates must meet at least one of the following:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program within the last 2 years (no experience required)
Active Medical Assistant Certification from one of the following:
CMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)
CCMA (National Healthcareer Association)
RMA (American Medical Technologists)
At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 4 years
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Experience:
Medical Assistant experience preferred
1 year of MA experience in a physician office or outpatient setting may be accepted in lieu of formal education
Certifications:
CMA, CCMA, or RMA preferred
BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire
Other Skills:
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to work flexible hours, including early/late shifts or occasional weekends
Experience in pulmonary, respiratory, or specialty care
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Strong patient-focused mindset
4-day workweek (TuesdayFriday schedule)
